The European Women's Circle organized his year's international politico-cultural tour from June 15 to June 18, 2017 to Krakow. The trip participants and Chairwoman Daniela Topp-Burghardt were warm-hearted welcomed in the town hall by A. Szybist and M. Jantos, two polish politicians of Krakow.

The very interesting political discussion about different subjects was held very openly and shed light on long-term economic development in Poland as well after the break-up of the Eastern bloc as after the accession to the EU in 2004. The situation of women is similar to those in Germany. Due to wage difference and insufficient supply of day care nurseries women are professional disadvantaged and that will lead them to small pension or even to poverty in old ages.

The wonderful historic centre of Krakow was not destroyed during the Second World war. So the Cloth Hall is a contemporary witness of thriving trade of a wealthy bourgeoisie, churches and the castle indicate art, culture and the influence of the catholic church for centuries. The old university, Collegium Maius, was already the academic home of Copernicus and the later pope Joh.-Paulus II.

Traditional restaurants with polish and international kitchen are an ideal frame of conversation about all impressions of the day.

The participants had a common time in and for Europe and for an improved understanding between European citizens.
