Daniela Topp-Burghardt, Chairwoman of the European Women's Circle, is the recipient of the
Woman of Europe Award - Germany 2013.

This award, presented annually by the network European Movement - Germany since 1991, honors women who contribute significantly to the intertwining and strengthening of a unified Europe through social activism and personal committment.

Professor Gudrun Schmidt-Kärner, the 1999 recipient of the Woman of Europe Award - Germany, serves as the president of the award.

EM Germany is a nonpartisan civil society organisation active in the field of European politics in Germany. Its more than 200 member organisations represent a cross-section of groups in society: economic and professional organisations, trade unions, educational institutions, research institutes, foundations, political parties, and others.

The network European Movement pools, strengthens and reinforces its members' expertise and activity in the field of European politics.
